Server Maintenance

The BSH LMS server will be down this weekend, Sat 23rd 11.00 am to Sun 24th 10.00 PM for hardware and software upgrades.  Logging in during these times will be patchy, and access to the courses may also not be logged.

Courses

IELTS Speaking Teacher Training
BSH Teacher Training

Audience:

University teachers that will be teaching students IELTS Academic Speaking at HE level using the BSH LMS system.

Duration:

~12 hours (including certification test)

Pre-requisites:

Basic knowledge of how to write/teach speaking for a test environment

Some kind of teaching certificate, preferably in teaching ESL – CELTA, TEFL, etc.

IELTS 7.0 or above

Basic computer skills including:

  • Web Browsers
  • Tencent Meeting
  • Adobe PDF Reader (or equivalent)
  • MS Office (or equivalent)

Previous attendance on the BSH LMS Training program

Learning Outcomes:

1.       Identify and recognize the different types of IELTS Speaking question

2.       Identify and recognize the IELTS Speaking Criteria

3.       Identify and employ techniques used to teach IELTS Speaking Parts 1, 2 and 3

BSH LMS Teacher Training
BSH Teacher Training

Audience: 

University teachers and other staff who will use the BoSiHan Learning Management System(BSH LMS) to teach students the BSH IELTS program and/or generate student reports. 
 

Duration: 

~12 hours (including certification test)

Learning Outcomes: 

  1. Identify and recognize the different courses in the BSH LMS 
  2. Identify/employ various techniques in using the BSH LMS to help students register for courses 
  3. Employ and justify techniques used to download the LMS Mobile app 
  4. Identify the different administrative areas that are available to Managers/Teachers in a course 
  5. Identify and employ techniques used to allocate students into separate groups and cohorts 
  6. Identify and employ techniques used to download and mark students' assignments 
  7. Identify and employ techniques used to access the forums for communication with students 
  8. Identify and employ techniques used to find further support for the BSH LMS system

  • This course is designed for students wishing to improve their ability to study effectively in English.

  • A computer with internet access (for forum posts and online meetings)

  • Approx. 100 hours

At the end of this course students will be able to:
